I just wanted to write and thank you for all your help in finding me my wedding dress. I still can't quite get over the level of quality I have got for the price I paid! Dresses I'd tried on at various wedding shops over the £1500 mark were streets ahead in terms of shaping and quality of material. I thought I'd made the dreaded mistake of trying on (and falling in love with) dresses which were over my budget - until I came to Berkshire Brides! I loved the relaxed, informal atmosphere and appreciated your honesty and non-pushy sales technique. After my first visit, I knew I'd buy from you - it was just case of, as you said, getting out there and seeing what I liked. I did this and once I knew what I was looking for came back and bought an Alan Hannah sample made from Thai silk – I still can’t believe the savings I made! Plus the fact that I got to take it away there and then means I have 10 months of being able to sit and stare at it before my Big Day! I will be recommending Berkshire Brides to all my friends, friends of friends and actually, anyone who will listen. I never thought I would get so excited about my wedding dress - thank you! We're getting married next April in the Cotswolds and I'll be in touch early in next year to discuss accessories and bridesmaids dresses.

I had visited a couple of bridal shops but hadn't been overwhelmed with the choice or service so I gave Vivienne a call just on the off chance. I was expecting to see pretty much what I had already seen in other places but was very pleasantly surprised with a very wide range of styles. Vivienne knew just by looking at me what style of dress would suit me and picked a few out for me to try, I also picked out a few and found that they didn’t look anywhere near as nice as the ones she had picked. I ended up with a beautiful designer dress for half the original price and was extremely pleased with professional yet

Once we had set the date four our wedding, as most brides do, I started to scour the pages of many a bridal magazine to try and find 'the dress'. I'd booked a few appointments in London Bridal boutiques and was no further to finding anything close to what I really wanted. It was my father who had spotted Berkshire Brides on the web and suggested that it might be something that I would be interested in. I must confess, at first, I was not at all sure about the idea of having a wedding dress that had been either a showroom sample or previously owned, however, I agreed to go and meet Vivienne, and see the dresses that she had. How wrong could I have been !!!! The dresses were not only beautiful, but meticulously taken care of and all looked brand new. I tried on about 3 different dresses, but it was the last dress that I tried on which was the most stunning and had to be 'the one'. I am now the very proud owner of a dress which has cost a fraction of the price I would have had to have paid if it had been brand new. I am totally thrilled, and have been able to splash out on beautiful shoes and accessories with the saving that I have made choosing a dress through Berkshire Brides. Vivienne knew exactly which dresses would suit my shape and offered an incredibly professional and honest service throughout. She also arranged for my beautiful veil to be sent to me in the post and advised me on a seamstress in my location to help me with any tweaks that were needed to make the dress fit me like a glove.

By the time I came to Vivienne's, I'd already been to a lot of expensive designer dress shops, and I'd been very disappointed by the supercilious service and also the lack of dresses to try on in different sizes. At Berkshire Brides, it was a completely different experience. Vivienne had a wide selection of lovely dresses at different prices and gave me helpful and friendly advice about which ones suited me. She was also able to recommend an excellent dressmaker to alter the dress into my size. Selling the dress back after the wedding was also very easy and efficient. Vivienne had the dress cleaned professionally for me and I got quite a lot of money back, even though I'd managed to get the dress into a bit of a state at the wedding! Berkshire Brides made buying my dress fun and easy, as well as saving me a lot of money on buying a designer dress. I now recommend it to all my friends.

I recently bought my dress from Berkshire Brides. It was the first one I tried on but not the original one I had come to see called Rio. Vivienne took one look at me and said the Rio dress wasn't for me but to try it on anyway... this can seem a little harsh but I was grateful for the honest advice as who wants to look like a lemon on their wedding day. I found Vivienne very straight talking but also helpful. Her gowns are beautiful and fairly priced. The atmosphere for me was good too as you felt very special rather than one Bride on a conveyor belt of Brides waiting to try on dresses. There was a huge choice of dresses and styles. Being able to sell the dress again after the wedding was a real bonus and helped to keep costs down even more. Finally, a note to say many thanks for finding me my dress. Any sane person would have panicked at the thought of being without a dress with 6 weeks to go but you kept me very calm, so thanks again.
The day went without a hitch and of course, went really quickly. I've attached a couple of photos, none of which do the dress justice, but we don't have that many - we concentrated on the drinking and dancing rather than the pics!!
